Westover Green Community School and Autism Centre

About us

A warm welcome to Westover Green Community School and Autism Centre. We are a large, primary school near to the town centre of Bridgwater. Our school is organised across 14 classes - 2 classes for each year group from Reception to Year 6 and we have an autism centre for 14 learners with a diagnosis of autism or a communication & interaction need.

Our team of dedicated, caring staff are committed to championing every single child to grow to be life-long learners and reach their full potential. To ensure we develop well-rounded individuals, we actively promote 'The Westover Way' in all that we do. We pride ourselves on our quality of care, inclusive ethos and ambitious curriculum.

The school premises include a specialist Autism Centre with bespoke sensory garden, a large field and several playgrounds. We also have a forest area with a fire-pit, bird hide and wildlife pond, so that although being an urban school, Westover children have the advantage of experiencing the outdoor environment on their doorstep. Always moving forward and looking to improve, we aspire to our motto “Opening the gates to learning”.

Education is a collaborative effort, and we greatly value parental support and involvement in every child’s learning journey. Together, we can help shape their future.

Westover Green Community School is a Futura Learning Partnership School.

We are a partnership of schools in the West of England region committed to offering a high-quality educational experience to all children and young people in our care.
