Westover Winners

We have been victorious in the "The Bridgwater Schools Challenge". After our huge efforts to make our journey to school as healthy and environmentally friendly as possible, we are proud to present our winners cheque, which we plan to invest in buying new breaktime resources.

Table Tennis

It was icy outside today, so our sports coach showed us how to set up our classroom to practice our sending and receiving skills in table tennis - a perfect little movement break.

REAL PE

Introducing REAL PE. A social skills focus in unit 1. Playing with rules, creating new challenges and successfully working together.

Swimming

Building up our water confidence, developing our swimming strokes, improving our strength and stamina, and raising our safety awareness.

Hockey

Practicing passing, receiving and control.

Cricket

We have been fortunate to receive support from our county cricket club, in delivering a quality cricket programme. Coaches have supported our delivery of cricket in PE and enabled us to run an extra curricular cricket club.

Sports Council

Congratulations to our very first Sports Council. We have a lot of work ahead of us this year, looking to make break-times and lunch-times more fun and active.

SASP Sport Coaches

Meet our amazing coaches who help us deliver quality P.E. Mr.Hammond and Mr.Syvret are helping us to develop our skills. We work with them in class P.E lessons, our active and competitive groups. We have also had some great fun in out inter-house sessions.

Winners - The Bridgwater Way

Well done everyone with the huge efforts in improving our travel to school. We walked, we cycled, we scooted ...we won !

Charter House Year 6

Year 6 have enjoyed a busy and successful residential week participating in outdoor pursuits and team building activities on our annual trip to The Charter House Centre in Cheddar. Activities included: caving, shelter building, archery, walking, team building games, orienteering, gorge-walking and capture the flag. We were so impressed with the children's attitude and persistence during all the activities - particularly those they found more challenging.

Football Fame

A big well done to our football team who won their recent game 2-1! Great effort and teamwork was shown by all of our players. The game was thoroughly enjoyed by staff and parents who came to watch. Well done!

Triumphant Table Tennis

Well done to our boys and girls table tennis teams for their effort in our recent competition in Taunton. They played their matches very well, we secured some wins and every player's excellent sportsmanship was noted.
